Sugar Mill Botanical Gardens is a non-profit garden in Daytona Beach that is open to tourism and is free for visitors (though they encourage you to donate). It has a lot of historical-type stuff there as well, and it gets its name from a reconstructed old sugar mill they have on site. They've also got dinosaur statues and other information on animals, insects, and plants that currently live in Florida. You can view photos here and their general web site here. Overall, it's a nice, beautiful area with lots of trees and plants to walk around looking at.
The gardens are located at:
950 Old Sugar Mill Road
Port Orange, FL 32119
