Night Life in Daytona Beach, FL
Night clubs, lounges, and bars in
Daytona Beach are plentiful and they serve a
consistent crowd throughout the year. They stay particularly busy during
racing events, bike weeks, and at Spring Break time, and range in style from
the fairly subdued to others that are rowdy and rocking, so there’s
definitely a little something for everyone when it comes to finding a spot
for an after-dinner drink or two and some music. Many of the clubs cater to
the younger crowd but the lounges in some of the city’s lovely restaurants
play host to a more mature clientele. Below is a list of some of the most
popular clubs in and around the city of Daytona Beach.
- Razzles – The largest night club in
Daytona Beach, Razzles offers about 15,000 square
feet of space and 11 bar stations. There are also a few billiards tables
and plenty of continuous music pumping through this lively night spot.
Guests can also request a reservation for the VIP Lounge, which is a
more private setting with a VIP hostess and other extra amenities. You
must be 18 years old to enter Razzles and, according to
Florida laws, 21 to consume alcohol. Cover
charges vary according to what events are happening on a particular
night. A dress code applies.
- Boot Hill Saloon – Truly a biker’s bar, the Boot
Hill Saloon is an old Daytona Beach
favorite with the motorcycle riding crowd and a must-visit during Bike
Week or Biketoberfest. Located on a site that was once the Kit Kat Club
(an early 1900s establishment), this saloon is a raucous western-themed
bar that makes patrons think they’ve stepped back in time. Located
across the street from a cemetery, the bar’s slogan proclaims that
you’re “better off here than across the street.” Don’t forget to buy one
of their famous t-shirts!
- Clocktower Lounge – Lightyears away from the likes
of a biker bar, this lobby bar and lounge in the Hilton Oceanfront Hotel
boasts live entertainment, an enormous wine list, and light bar-type
fare. It also overlooks the Atlantic Ocean and is
the perfect place for a nightcap or for a few quiet moments with your
significant other.
- Mai Tai Bar – This club, quite popular with young
adults, is located in the Shoppes at Ocean Walk, overlooking Daytona’s
famous bandshell with views of the ocean. Besides a huge array of
cocktails, wine, and beers, the bar serves appetizers, light sandwiches,
salads, and other finger food. The happy hour prices here are especially
good. Live music happens just about every night. Private event space is
available and can accommodate up to 300 guests.
- Ocean Deck – This is Daytona
Beach’s one-of-a-kind live Reggae nightclub.
Located on Ocean Avenue,
the club serves a lot of island-oriented specialty drinks as well as a
tantalizing list of appetizers like clam chowder in a delicious bread
bowl. The Caribbean
music generally continues until about 2
a.m.
and there’s karaoke on Saturday and Sunday from 4 to 8 pm.
And you can buy a bottle or two of the Ocean Deck’s popular rasta hot
sauce before you leave.
- Baja
Beach Club – This place is
definitely a Spring Break favorite but is popular year round. Enjoy the
drinks, live music, and scantily clad wait staff at this place dubbed by
locals and visitors as the “Best Beach Party Bar in the World.”
- The Oyster Pub – This eatery boasts the ultimate
sports bar, with 45 televisions on-site including a 133 inch hi-def
beauty. Patrons can eat, drink, play pool, or listen to nightly live
music. There are also plenty of special events scheduled here, like
Texas Hold ‘Em Night every Sunday evening. Lots of promotions and
giveaways during Bike Week and Biketoberfest, too.
