Coquina Inn Bed and Breakfast in Daytona Beach, FL

Located in the Old Daytona National Historic District, the Coquina Inn Bed and Breakfast is housed in a charming 1912-built home made from coquina rock (a combination of shell and sand), thus its name. It is situated about a five-minute drive from the beach and within walking distance of Halifax Harbor Marina and the Beach Street shopping and dining area. Away from the hubbub of the downtown area, it is a logical choice for those who prefer to be removed from the crowds and don’t desire a location directly on the beach.

The Coquina Inn has functioned as a bed and breakfast facility for several decades. It boasts four lovely guest rooms, each with its own bath for the ultimate in privacy. The Hibiscus Room includes a queen-sized bed, separate sitting area, Victorian soaking tub with overhead shower, and a private outdoor porch. The Azalea Room is light and airy with wicker furniture and a grand king-sized bed with ornate wrought iron head board. The Jasmine Room boasts a romantic, canopied queen-sized bed, a coquina stone fireplace, and a Victorian deep soaking tub with overhead shower. The largest room, the Magnolia Room, is suitable for three guests and includes a queen-sized bed and an additional daybed as well as a Victorian tub with shower. This is ideal for couples traveling with one child or three friends traveling together. All guests are treated to embroidered robes and rooms also include luxurious bedding, CD/clock radios, cable television, and wireless internet service.

Other amenities at the Coquina Inn Bed and Breakfast include an excellent five-course breakfast served in the dining room, complimentary beverages and baked goods available throughout the day, and evening turn down service. All of the rooms are decorated with fresh flowers and artwork by local and regional artists from the Sunshine State. An indoor sunroom provides a treadmill or just a place to relax and read a book.

Outside, the Coquina Inn has a large fenced yard, an outdoor spa and sundeck, and plenty of space to relax. Bicycles are available to guests who wish to explore the area.

The proprietors own a dog, and consequently the establishment is pet-friendly. Dogs less than 45 pounds are welcome but must be non-aggressive. Advance reservations must be made for all animals who are visiting with their owners and stays are limited to the Magnolia and Azalea Rooms only. Other rules apply. A basket of treats is provided for the animal upon arrival.

The Coquina Inn eagerly welcomes golfers to the Daytona Beach area and can assist in setting up golf packages for their visitors. Package prices include a round (or more) of golf per day at a selection of courses in the Daytona area as well as nightly accommodations. Guests may choose which courses they will play, tee time, and which room they prefer. Reservations can be made online or by calling the inn.

The inn offers a limited number of specials during special events in the area and also welcomes small weddings.
